About Coach Briggs C.P.T. '03

Coach Briggs has over 20 years of experience as a coach and 7 years as the head jumps coach at Mater Dei High School. Briggs is also the owner/creator of the LEAP Squad Youth Track Club. Briggs competed over three years as a professional triple jumper and has been sharing is training tips and concepts over the past 10 years teaching coaches how to improve their skill set on YouTube where he has over 20,000 followers across all platforms. In his tenure as a high school and club coach Briggs has developed 12 Orange County Individual Champions, 11 Individual CIF Champions, 12 CIF Runner-up finishers, 11 CA State qualifiers, and over 50 athletes continuing their track and field career in college.

Receive professional coaching at the youth level. Our philosophy is to start with the long jump so each athlete understands the value of speed, power, patience, and execution.

Sprints & Relays

Speed is important for all sports. LEAP Squad prepares each athlete by teaching "how to" properly run before enhancing overall speed.

80m (11-12yrs)

300m / 400m (hs/college)

Hurdles

Fact: Coach Briggs was also a National Level hurdler. Briggs earned his scholarship as a hurdler.
